So, missed the 40K 'Ard Boys, due to a headache on my part and Vincent having broken spectacles. So, instead of talking about how we did, here's a Lego Dreadknight instead!

Angels Vincente - exposed for the world
OK, here's a couple shots of my son's marines, the Angels Vincente, a successor chapter of the Blood Angels.

OK, let's post some figs.
1500 point tournament - Independence, MO
Well, we went. Never again. Vincent took the more rounded list, but we removed the Sternguard and Tac rhino for his Vanguard Vets with jump packs. Got there at 12:35 PM (3.5 hour drive) and no organizer. No tables set up, no terrain. Guy shows quarter to 1, had to butt together 3 sets of plastic tables and put down green PAPER for the 6x4 area. And terrain... Used old toy trucks and stuff. Never again. At least Vincent had fun.

40K tourney up in Missouri 7/16/2011
OK, so, Vincent and I are going to a 40K tourney up in Independence, MO next weekend. He's breaking out his Angels Vincente and I will field the Greyhearthians. I have my list pretty well planned out, but Vincent is still debating on a list.
He's got it narrowed down to 2 lists. One is an all-arounder with a Captain w/ jump pack, 2 Assault Squads, a Tac Squad in Rhino, a Sternguard Vet squad in Rhino, 9 Scouts and a Devastator squad. List #2 has the Captain with Honour Guard, both Assault Squads, his Vanguard Vet squad with jump packs and a Tac squad. He's had mixed results with them. I barely beat list #1 with the Guard; it came down to a massive application of firepower. List #2 nearly whupped up some Sisters of Battle a friend fielded. He just ran out of troops.
I'm running a Company command squad, 2 Platoons with 4 Infantry and 2 HW squads each, 2 Vet squads and 2 Sentinals. I'll post piccage later.

First post of many
OK, so here we go. This will be a gaming blog following myself and my son as we navigate the dangerous worlds of Warhammer 40K and my journey in the Warhammer world.
I play Crucifiers Space Marines, WAAAGH Grotspank (Orks) and 1/16th Greyhearthian IN (Imp Guard). My son runs the Angels Vincente (Blood Angels). I also field High Elves, Empire, Dwarves, Orcs and Goblins and Skaven for WFB. My son will be starting a Tomb Kings army for WFB.
I also play Star Fleet Battles (prefer Hydrans and UFP carriers) and Starfire. I have numerous boxed wargames from Avalon Hill and Victory Games form the 80s and 90s, including Squad Leader, Civil War and Pacific War.
